No Trinity? Methinks thou dost protest too much..

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. 19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you.

Well, in this verse sounds like we either got 3 Gods or one triune God. The three mentioned here sound kind of equal. I vote for the Triune God theory!

For those of you teens battling with the trinity doctrine, See page 288-289 of the book "The kingdom of the cults" by Walter Martin. People have been trying to diss the Trinity since Martin Cellarium in 1545 and probably before that too. They forget that Christianity is understood with the heart, not with the brain. It is a spiritual relationship with our God, and we have to be like little children if we want to enter the Kingdom of God, and no amount of brains is going to get us in.

Some people say that Jesus is not God.

If Jesus is not God, then who is he? If he's just a very pure, sinless prophet, then you can be a muslim with that kind of Jesus. You can fit in perfectly with the Jehovah's Witnesses. In fact, suddenly, you are buddies with everyone, and religion doesn't actually matter.

Do I detect the trademark of satan here? With this mindset, a one world religion is possible. A new world order could be established. A one world currency. And everyone microchipped and traceable. A world ripe for the scenario as laid out in Revelation - the reign of the beast.

Why have an ice cold Coke and then say that the Coke liquid is not necessary? All you've got is a glass bottle that you can hit yourself on the head with. If Jesus is not God, then our faith is a delusion, and we are more to be pitied that the most lost soul.

Jesus is the lynchpin of everything. Everything. He is the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega.

He is my God. There is no other.

Was Jesus God? Of course He was!
The Bible says so, clearly. It’s so clear, even I can understand it!!

Notice how God says “Us” in the following passages:

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.

Gen 3:22 And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil.

Gen 11:7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they cannot understand one another's speech.

Here is where God tells Moses His name:

Exo 3:13 And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the sons of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they shall say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? 14 God said, "I am who I am. You must tell them: 'The one who is called I AM has sent me to you.'

In the following passages, Jesus gives Himself the same name:

Joh 8:24 That is why I told you that you will die in your sins. And you will die in your sins if you do not believe that 'I Am Who I Am'."
Joh 8:28 So he said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, you will know that 'I Am Who I Am'; then you will know that I do nothing on my own authority, but I say only what the Father has instructed me to say.
Joh 13:19 I tell you this now before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe that 'I Am Who I Am.'

Consider this passage:

Joh 8:57 They said to him, "You are not even fifty years old---and you have seen Abraham?" 58 "I am telling you the truth," Jesus replied. "Before Abraham was born, 'I Am'." 59 Then they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and left the Temple.

Now I ask: If Jesus was just saying He’s human, why would the people want to stone Him for that? They wanted to stone Him because He was saying He was God. Which, of course, He was.

Here’s another:

Joh 10:30 The Father and I are one." 31 Then the people again picked up stones to throw at him. 32 Jesus said to them, "I have done many good deeds in your presence which the Father gave me to do; for which one of these do you want to stone me?" 33 They answered, "We do not want to stone you because of any good deeds, but because of your blasphemy! You are only a man, but you are trying to make yourself God!"

So the Jews of 2000 years ago seemed to understand Jesus just fine!

Now I know that I am not the cleverest guy in town, but if you are convinced that you are smarter than I am, ponder this:

Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus said, "Father, Lord of heaven and earth! I thank you because you have shown to the unlearned what you have hidden from the wise and learned.

Luk 10:21 At that time Jesus was filled with joy by the Holy Spirit and said, "Father, Lord of heaven and earth! I thank you because you have shown to the unlearned what you have hidden from the wise and learned. Yes, Father, this was how you were pleased to have it happen.

So God wants us dumb guys to understand His truths.

Sure it’s simple, but this is the worlds problem:

Joh 3:19 This is how the judgment works: the light has come into the world, but people love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are evil. 20 Those who do evil things hate the light and will not come to the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be shown up. 21 But those who do what is true come to the light in order that the light may show that what they did was in obedience to God.

2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming, 9 whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie, 12 so that all those who do not believe the truth, but delight in unrighteousness, might be condemned.

So let the Bible be your guide. Read any version, but have a King James version to double check any grey areas. Don’t change the Bible. Don’t chuck out the parts you don’t like. Read the whole thing. And reread it, and then the light will shine into your heart and the Holy Spirit will open your understanding. Remember, without the Holy Spirit to enlighten your mind, God's word the Bible will be nonsense to you. Pray for understanding as you read.

May God bless you with joy and hope, the hope that Jesus gives us of eternity in Heaven.

Jesus is God.

You may ask, how can Jesus be God and still pray to His Father in Heaven? This is a valid question.
Consider this:- a river rises in the mountains and flows towards the sea; lets call the river the Tugela. After a distance the Klip river flows into it, and a little further on the Buffalo river flows into it. Eventually the Tugela flows into the sea. But where are the Klip and the Buffalo rivers? They are in the Tugela.

But we don't say three rivers flow into the sea, we talk of ONE river.

In the same way God is ONE God, but He comprises of more than one part. Jesus is God, like the Buffalo river is the Tugela where it goes into the sea.

If you take a bucket of water out of the Tugela, you are going to say "This is Tugela water." Jesus was taken out of God the Father for awhile, but He was fully God, and is fully God now.

The Trinity, as God is referred to, is often spoken of as 3 persons, but in my opinion He is One God, with 3 facets or dimensions, each with His own personality. We humans were created in the likeness of God, but it is in a much simpler form than that of God.

Explaining this is like trying to explain to a deep sea fish what riding a bicycle is like: it doesn't know what a bicycle is, it doesn't know what legs are, or air, or a road. It is a dimension that it cannot even imagine.

And it is like that with our perception of God. We try to squash Him into a box like He's some sort of supernatural human, when in fact He is unimaginally superior to our intellects and imagination.

And yet He loves us, and was willing to die, Himself, for our sins, so that we could be declared not guilty, and become His friends. Amazing love!

IF THE BIBLE IS TRUE (Which it is)

Then:

Jesus died for our sins, and then rose again from the dead. He appeared to over 500 different people over a time period of about 40 days after His death and resurrection.

God loves you regardless of what you have done, who you are and what race you are. His love is always available to you. All we have to do is believe in Him and that Jesus is the One who saves us from our sins.

God gave us a free will with which we can choose to accept Him and His love or reject Him. God gave us a free will because He wants us to love Him freely and because we want to, not like a robot.

If we reject Jesus and God, we will go to hell when we die. Hell is a real place, where our bed is maggots and our blanket is worms, where there is thick darkness and where we burn and are in agony forever.

God does not want us to go there, which is why He died for us to make a way of escape for us. So if we go to hell it is because we chose to go there by rejecting Jesus.

Choose to accept Jesus. It's an abundant, happy and full life. Like life, it has it's ups and downs, but there's always the arms of God beneath you.

HOW CAN I BE SAVED?

God wants to rescue you from Hell and from your sinful life. To accept His gift of eternal life, which is a free gift, and cannot be "earned" do the following:

Admit that you have done wrong things (sins) and make a decision to do what is right. (This is called "repentance")

Believe in Jesus and ask Him to come into your life and make you spiritually Born Again.
Thank Him for doing this. This is an act of faith, where you are believing what God has promised to do.

Start reading the Bible. Start in the New Testament, at Mark or John.
Pray to God every day.

And that's about it - you are now a born again Christian!!

It's so easy! God made it like that on purpose. He loves you very, very much.

The Disadvantages of being a Christian

You will have to fight temptation for the rest of your life, and you will loose the fight sometimes, but not always.
You will have to go against the crowd.
You will have to do what God wants and not what you want, but it will be for your own good anyway.
Sometimes you will have to suffer, but Jesus will always be with you in it.
You will need to be brave at times – this means that you will have to do some things that you are really afraid of doing.
You have to tell the truth.
You have to love with agapē love.
You will have to think of others before yourself.

The advantages of being a Non Christian
You can do anything you want until you are jailed or get a disease or die young
You can sin now and pay later, but you pay forever.
The devil says you can be your own boss, but he lies. He will be your boss, and he'll grind you.
The devil says it will be fun, but he doesn’t tell you that it gets less fun the more you do it. And it ends in death – physical & spiritual.
The devil says it will satisfy you, but this is an outright lie – you will never stay satisfied.
You can be lazy.
You can be a jerk.
You can be nasty – but everyone will hate you and despise you.
You are free to destroy yourself slowly. You can lie, cheat, smoke, drink, do drugs and sex - and it won't be free for long.

The BOTTOM LINE
God's way of doing things WORKS
OBEY Him.
He reckons You're Worth It !

Week before last discussion - sorry it's late!!

Jesus LIKES YOU !!
Do you think that Jesus would like to have you with Him right now, like in real life, and just kindof chat to you and chill and not really do anything except be together, like a friend?
We've heard that God loves us, but do we know that He likes us as well?
What does it mean if somebody like you? How does that work in a relationship?
It means he likes to do stuff with you, go fishing together, watch the sun go down together, chill somewhere together – just like be friends.
Luk 22:14 When it was time, he sat down, all the apostles with him, and said, "You've no idea how much I have looked forward to eating this Passover meal with you before I enter my time of suffering.
Do we like Jesus ?
Is Jesus ever in a rush, or too busy to listen to you?
Does Jesus ever not want to talk to you?
Do you think sometimes that your problem is too small to worry God with?
Does Jesus ever make you feel guilty, like because you haven't prayed or read your Bible?
Can Jesus be your best friend?
Isa 44:2 I am the LORD who created you; from the time you were born, I have helped you. Do not be afraid; you are my servant, my chosen people whom I love. 3 "I will give water to the thirsty land and make streams flow on the dry ground. I will pour out my spirit on your children and my blessing on your descendants.
Listen to what Isaiah says about Jesus: Isa 42:1 The LORD says, "Here is my servant, whom I strengthen--- the one I have chosen, with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my Spirit, and he will bring justice to every nation. 2 He will not shout or raise his voice or make loud speeches in the streets. 3 He will not break off a bent reed nor put out a flickering lamp. He will bring lasting justice to all. 4 He will not lose hope or courage; he will establish justice on the earth. Distant lands eagerly wait for his teaching." Isa 42:6 "I, the LORD, have called you and given you power to see that justice is done on earth. Through you I will make a covenant with all peoples; through you I will bring light to the nations. 7 You will open the eyes of the blind and set free those who sit in dark prisons.
You know that Jesus Loves you, but are you glad that he likes you? After all, someone can decide to love you, even though they don't really want to, but if someone likes you, it's because they want to.
What does this tell you? That you are TOTALLY ACCEPTED BY JESUS.
He not only loves you because He has decided to, but also because He wants to.
Jesus wants your friendship – He wants to spend time with you; He wants to know how you are doing.
Jesus really and truly thinks that you are the greatest. The coolest friend. Honestly!! He does!!
Jesus wants to bless you and help you and He wants you to be happy. But He also knows that you can only be happy in a certain way = you have to stop sinning, hurting yourself and other people. It seems like Jesus is trying to spoil your fun, but this is not the case – Jesus is trying to show you the way to have real, full, total hectic fun, with NO GUILT, NO AFTER EFFECTS, NO BAD FEELINGS, JUST EXHILARATION AND LETS DO IT AGAIN !!
Does Jesus ever think you are a loser? NO NO NO NO NO
Does Jesus ever think you are a winner? YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
Listen to what God is like:
Psa 103:8 The LORD is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love. 9 He does not keep on rebuking; he is not angry forever. 10 He does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs. 11 As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who honor him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our sins from us. 13 As a father is kind to his children, so the LORD is kind to those who honor him. 14 He knows what we are made of; he remembers that we are dust.
So we can know that we have a real friend in Jesus. We can't hear Him audibly or see Him because of our sin, but as we get rid of our sin and do His will, we will start to hear Him clearer and clearer as we go along.

You can relax!
You are Totally Accepted
and Totally Loved.

Been a bit hectic! But we're back!

Teen Church is on the go again from this Sunday. We will meet in the double garage at 5 South Street at 09:30am on Sunday. Come along and join in with us for some fun, some wisdom and some company!

Hi all you guys!!

Here's the new lesson..

Lesson: Total TRUST. SURRENDER.

Do you trust your parents not to eat you while you sleep?
What would happen if you were convinced that your Mom wanted to poison your food.? Would you eat anything? Would she be able to give you nice food?
Can our parents love us and give us nice things if we don't trust them and think they are trying to kill us or that they want to make us miserable?
Would we accept stuff from them.?
If we sort of half trusted them, and said “we'll go with you to town, but we won't trust your driving to take us on a long trip” How would they take us to Umhlanga for a 5 week holiday at a 5 star hotel on the beach?
So if we trust our parents completely, then they are able to do good things for us right?

Do we trust God?

With how much of our lives? 10%? 60%? 100% ?
OK, lets find out how much you trust God.....

Are we willing to say to God “You can take any of my stuff and do what You like with it. I give it all to You” ??
Are we willing to say to God “You can send me anywhere – I'll go”
Are we willing to say to God “ I'll never get married if that's what you want”
Are you willing to say to God “I'll stay poor for ever if that's what You want in my life..” !!!
Isa 25:9 When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us."
Are we willing to say to God “I'll stay here in Vryheid and die here if that's what You want me to do”
Psa 33:4 The words of the LORD are true, and all his works are dependable.5 The LORD loves what is righteous and just; his constant love fills the earth.
Psa 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one. The LORD protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid. 2 When evil people attack me and try to kill me, they stumble and fall. 3 Even if a whole army surrounds me, I will not be afraid; even if enemies attack me, I will still trust God.
Can we say to God “ I trust you with my future. You can take away my family, my money, my cell phone, my future, whatever, and I'll still follow You. I know that You know best, and that You will always look after me.“
In other words, are we certain that God is a kind, good God who will only do what's BEST for us, or do we have doubts about that?
If we believe this about God, then do we think He will do stuff to us that will make us scared, or hurt us, if He is a kind and gentle God who loves us?
So can we trust in God TOTALLY ? Yes we can because that allows Him to bless us. He won't FORCE His blessings onto us, but if we trust Him and let Him take us to His places, then He will be able to bless us.
Will all the scary things we expect actually happen? More than likely not.
How does total trust in God make us happy? We can relax because we know that He's driving, like we do in the car when our Dad is driving – we know he's not some maniac!!
Isa 12:2 God is my savior; I will trust him and not be afraid. The LORD gives me power and strength; he is my savior. 3 As fresh water brings joy to the thirsty, so God's people rejoice when he saves them."

Trust God with your whole life. Don't keep anything back from His control.
Don't stop Him from blessing you.
Remember, He's driving. You must just stay on the bus !!

The BOTTOM LINE
Trusting God is a total thing
Either you trust Him
or you don't.

Hi again..

Lesson: It's story time !!

The story of Esther
King Xerxes had one massive rave – 6 months long. Then he had another bash for a whole week in his palace.
One bash for the guys, one bash for the ladies.
After he had got a bit sloshed, he ordered the queen to 'come do a fashion parade for us ouks here !!'
Queen Vashti tuned the king “you and your drunken buddies can get lost!” - so the king kicked her out.
Esther, the Jewess, was very pretty and had a good figure.
Her and Mordecai were brought from Jerusalem when it was captured by Nebuchadnezzar
She stayed with her cousin, Mordecai, because her parents were dead. He was older, and treated her as his daughter.
The government officials came round and took pretty girls away to the kings beauty pageant. Esther went.
She didn't say she was Jewish. The Eunuch in charge of the harem liked Esther. 6 + 6 months of beauty treatment..
The king smaaked Esther the most – she was the hottest hottie in his harem – so she became an instant queen.
Mordecai got a job in the palace. He heard guys plotting kingies death, reported it and saved the kings life.
About 4 years later, Haman is made prime minister.
Mordecai wouldn't bow to him. Haman flipped his bean. Decided to kill all the jews in the whole massive country.
Got the king to agree to totally exterminate these troublesome people. King gave him his royal seal to do so.
Haman sends messages to whole empire telling all citizens to kill the jews on 13 th January
Mordecai asks Esther to help. Esther says that if she appears before the king she can be put to death.
Esther tells him and all jews to fast and pray for 3 days.
She goes to the king. He lets her live. She organises a dinner with king and Haman.
That night the king cant sleep. He tells his servants to read the records of the empire. They read about Mordecai saving the kings life.
The king decides to honour Mordecai. So he gets who? to lead Mordecai through the streets shouting his praises? HAMAN!! Haman is now really mad...
Haman builds a 22 metre high gallows to hang Mordecai on.
At the second dinner, Esther tells the king that Haman is trying to kill her and her whole race.
The king freaks out. Hamans head is covered. He is hung on the same gallows he built for Mordecai.
The king allows the Jews to fight back. He gives Esther all of Hamans property.
They use the opportunity to get rid of all their enemies in the land!! All Hamans 10 sons are also hung on the gallows he built for Mordecai.
Mordecai was promoted to a very high position, and clothed in royal clothes, and given a gold crown.
When the 13th January came, the jews killed 75,000 of their enemies, with the kings blessing !! THERE WAS NO LOOTING.
The Jews now always celebrate the festival of Purim to remember this event.
When disaster strikes, do God's will. We have to stand up and do what is right, even when it seems to be a small, trivial thing.
The BOTTOM LINE
Esther showed extreme bravery

Lesson: The whole universe was made for us.
THERE ARE A LOT OF VERY BIG NUMBERS IN HERE...
How big is the universe, the known universe? 20,000,000,000 light years across. (20 billion light years)
How old is the universe? Not the earth, but the universe? 15-20 billion years old.
When did time start? When the universe was created. Scientists have proved that the universe had a “beginning” - it has not always been there.
People who don't believe in God, like Stephen Hawking, try hard to disprove that the universe had a “beginning” - why is this?? Because it means someone had to begin it, and make it from absolutely nothing at all
Have there been universes before ours? No – this is not possible. Been proven by the bounce theory. A universe can't collapse and “bounce” back into existence again.
How many other solar systems are there, like with planets, a sun, moons, stuff like that? About 1022 which is 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 solar systems
So can't there be intelligent life on one of these planets? No. Why? Because the probability of intelligent life developing is one in 10exp30 and there are only 10exp22 solar systems, so there aren't enough solar systems to make it possible for even a humanoid form to develop, let alone an intelligent one.. The fact that the earth has intelligent life already defies the odds.
What is the chances that a human being could “evolve” by chance or random joining of molecules? About 10exp108 which is 1 with 108 nougths after it.. see below: So there hasn't been enough time for humans to evolve by chance, since there have only been 10
The universe had to be this big. If it had been any smaller, it would have been too hot for us to survive. The earth would not have been able to form. The universe had to cool in order for carbon to form; and we are made mostly from carbon.
The universe is expanding. The speed at which it is expanding is critical to our existence. If this speed was faster or slower by
0.0000000000 0000000000 0000000000 0000000000 0000000000 001 % the universe would have recollapsed and we would not exist.
People, clever people, say that there is no design in the universe; it just happened, things evolved. Do you think this is possible?
God says: Isa 66:1 The LORD says, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house, then, could you build for me, what kind of place for me to live in? 2 I myself created the whole universe! I am pleased with those who are humble and repentant, who fear me and obey me.
Does God exist inside the universe, or outside of it? Both: He is transcendant and immanent, outside and pervading the inside too.
Col 1:16 For through him God created everything in heaven and on earth, the seen and the unseen things, including spiritual powers, lords, rulers, and authorities. God created the whole universe through him and for him.
Heb 1:3 He reflects the brightness of God's glory and is the exact likeness of God's own being, sustaining the universe with his powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power.
Heb 11:3 It is by faith that we understand that the universe was created by God's word, so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.
If there was intelligent life on other planets, would they also be included in thiose going to Heaven? Yes!! Rev 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, in the world below, and in the sea---all living beings in the universe---and they were singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor, glory and might, forever and ever!"
There are many other things that are in an incredibly fine balance. Electromagnetic forces, Gravitational forces, Nuclear forces – they are all critically balanced to enable us to live. This universe, this earth we live on; this body we have – were all precisely designed for our benefit. There is NO WAY this could have happened on it's own.

If a doctor of climatology or a professor says that we have a problem with global cooling, do you believe him?
If you meet a university professor at Woolworths, and he says that you need to change your hair, will you?
Should we listen to people with degrees and big qualifications and get our advice from them?
Is a professor clever?
Is a doctor, a state president, a Hollywood Celebrity, a pastor, a teacher, a headmaster; CLEVER? Usually NOT!!!
What makes a person clever?
What makes a person wise?
Pro 14:6 Conceited people can never become wise, but intelligent people learn easily. 7 Stay away from foolish people; they have nothing to teach you. 8 Why is a clever person wise? Because he knows what to do. Why is a stupid person foolish? Because he only thinks he knows. 9 Foolish people don't care if they sin, but good people want to be forgiven.
1Co 3:18 You should not fool yourself. If any of you think that you are wise by this world's standards, you should become a fool, in order to be really wise. 19 For what this world considers to be wisdom is nonsense in God's sight. As the scripture says, "God traps the wise in their cleverness"; 20 and another scripture says, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are worthless." 21 No one, then, should boast about what human beings can do. What is real wisdom?
Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.
What kinds of people SHOULD we be listening to? Those who have the wisdom of the Lord.
How can you tell whether a person speaking on TV or at school or work is someone worth listening to?
Check the following: Are they kind? Are they gentle? Do they brag or show off? Do they talk about Jesus or the God of Israel? Are they humble? Do they listen to what other people have got to say? Are they LOUD or quiet? Do they have self-control? Do they say nasty or cutting things about other people ie. Do they diss others? Is he telling the truth, as far as you can tell? Is he an honest person?
If you had a big problem and needed direction and guidance, who would you go to?
Why would you go to that person?
Who would be the LAST person you would go to for help? Why?
So what do you look for in a person to give you advice?
Isn't this just what the Bible tells us to be like? Yes it is. If we all live like the Bible (ie Jesus) tells us to, we could give other people good advice, and they would actually ask us for it... Go figure..
Why are parents good people to go to for advice? Because they did the same stupid things that you want to do, and they can tell you exactly what happens if you do those dumb things. Don't copy your parents' mistakes – break the circle!!

Have you noticed how many morons are in leadership positions??
Let's name some people that you can listen to and get sense out of them. There are not many.. Kenneth Meshoe, Patrick Lekota has some character, Tony Leon has about 20% sense, Shaun Pollock, Victor Matfield, Francious Steyn, Freek Robinson seems to be fairly OK, Hal Lindsey, Jack Kinsella, Benjamin Netanyahu, Dr James Dobson, Ryan Dobson, Walker Texas Ranger & his sidekick.
Some people you must NEVER believe: Mike Sutcliffe, Dbn muni, Zuma, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, Haziz Pahad, 95% of the ANC, most of the United Nations, Kofi Annan (ex UN Gen.Sec) , any muslim (since their Koran permits them to lie to non-muslims), the Clintons, Jimmy Carter, Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, (in fact most of the American Democrats), Albie Sachs, any Hollywood celeb, our council esp. the mayor, and so on.
What is our best source of advice we will ever find? The Bible, esp. proverbs, galatians and Ephesians.
And finally: Do you know how lucky you are to NOT have a movie house here in Vryheid.??!!! The reel stoopid messages you get from movies make your lives very difficult. Movies and TV should be the absolute LAST place to get guidance from. Why? Because the Hollywood movie and TV industry is 98% humanists, who believe that there is no hell, no reason to be good. Look after yourself – you are No. 1 in the universe. You are a god to yourself. Bad, Bad news these ous.

Who has felt depressed or sad or morbid before?
How do you guys deal with the Morbs?
In the Bible, Ahab the king, Jeremiah, Elijah, Daniel and David were all depressed at one time or another.
Are there good and bad reasons for becoming depressed, or only bad reasons?
Being depressed about your sins is probably not a bad thing
Being depressed over your friend having a better cellphone than you is very bad!!!
OK, how do you get undepressed ?

What type of positive things must you think?

Millions upon millions of people do not have even the basic things in life. So be grateful and thankful.
Does God love you? Why do you say that?

Surely then everything is under His control?

Is being happy good for you? YES!!
Pro 17:22 A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.
What can we be happy about? Give me lots of suggestions...
that we're alive. That we're together having fun. That God loves us.
What does this Bible verse mean: 1Th 5:16 Be joyful always, 17 pray at all times, 18 be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus.
How can we stay joyful all the time?
Does God want us to be happy and joyful? Yes !
Is it hard for a non-Christian to get out of depression?
Why is it easier for a Christian to get undepressed?
Are you glad that you've got a happy God cheering you up??
Can we remain POSITIVE at all times? YES, we can because Jesus is in control of everything.

Think positive.
Jesus is totally positive and in control.

The world says we must get even, get revenge. What do we say? Rom 12:19 Never take revenge, my friends, but instead let God's anger do it. For the scripture says, "I will take revenge, I will pay back, says the Lord."

The world says Don't make waves – just go with the flow. What do we say? 2Pe 3:11 Since all these things will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Your lives should be holy and dedicated to God,
The world says we don't need God. What do we say? 1Jn 1:9 But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.
Jesus says Believe in me and you will be saved. What does the world say? No! We'll do it on our own!!
PEOPLE AROUND YOU; FRIENDS, RELATIVES, WORKMATES, ETC WILL TRY TO SQUEEZE YOU INTO THEIR WAY OF THINKING – BUT BE DIFFERENT. BE NOTICED. BE PURE. LET THEM SEE GOD IN YOU.

Lesson: Taking God with you wherever you go..
Should Church and Worship be separate from work and school?
Pro 14:31b kindness shown to the poor is an act of worship.
How do we worship at school ? By out attitudes, behaviour and speech
How do we “take God to work?”
We remember Him all day, we talk to Him, we do things His way, we obey Him, we talk to others about Him.
Eph 6:18 Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people.
Why is it important to take God with us to school?
To remind us to obey Him, to give us wisdom to choose to do the right thing. To be a witness/example
Luk 21:36 Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man."
What difference does it make?
It stops evil from happening, therefore it makes the school a better place to be.
Isa 65:1 The LORD said, "I was ready to answer my people's prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, 'Here I am; I will help you.'
Is it easy to forget about God when we are at school or at work?
Deu 8:11 "Make certain that you do not forget the LORD your God; do not fail to obey any of his laws that I am giving you today.
Why is this?
We get busy and distracted from the important things in life, like putting God first..
How can we remember that God is with us when we are at school?
Get a WWJD or FROG ruler, keep a little new testament in your bag, put a Bible verse on your book cover
How does God remind us that He is there? By pain !!
What kind of problems do you expect when you take God to school?
Kids must tell me..
What kind of opposition do we sometimes get when we do things God's way?
People might start arguing with us. They may pass comments, or sny us. Some “friends” may avoid you.
What good things can come of taking God to work?
A friend might get saved, which is the most awesome thing that can happen. Evil will be stopped or slowed down. Our lives will be more blessed – God will be closer to us.
If your partner is God, make your plans large !!
What can happen among your friends and colleagues if you do God's will at work?
They may start getting interested in going to Church or Teen Church. They may stop doing bad things. They may give up bad habits.
Jas 5:20 remember this: whoever turns a sinner back from the wrong way will save that sinner's soul from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.
What's important in a job – happiness or money ??
How did the Israelites take God with them when they were going to the promised land? The Ark of the covnt
Can God go with you to a party? To a wedding? To a matric farewell? To a family reunion?
Job 31:4 God knows everything I do; he sees every step I take.
Can God go with you in your dreams when you're asleep?
Interesting one this – I believe He can. But we have to have the right attitudes when we're awake.
Can God go with you on holiday?
Take God with you on holiday – wherever you go, whatever you do, whoever you're with, whenever you're awake or asleep. Don't forget God longer than you forget to breathe.

If we were to try and be like God, how would we be towards other people?
Do you guys talk about someone when they leave the room?
Do you always say nice things?
What should you say?
Pick out the guys good points; say something nice, like you would like other people to say about you.
Jas 3:7 We humans are able to tame and have tamed all other creatures---wild animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 8 But no one has ever been able to tame the tongue. It is evil and uncontrollable, full of deadly poison. 9 We use it to give thanks to our Lord and Father and also to curse other people, who are created in the likeness of God. 10 Words of thanksgiving and cursing pour out from the same mouth. My friends, this should not happen! 11 No spring of water pours out sweet water and bitter water from the same opening. 12 A fig tree, my friends, cannot bear olives; a grapevine cannot bear figs, nor can a salty spring produce sweet water. 13 Are there any of you who are wise and understanding? What happens when we ask What Would Jesus Do?? No really. Seriously...
Here's what Jesus is like: Isa 42:1 The LORD says, "Here is my servant, whom I strengthen--- the one I have chosen, with whom I am pleased. I have filled him with my Spirit, and he will bring justice to every nation. 2 He will not shout or raise his voice or make loud speeches in the streets. 3 He will not break off a bent reed nor put out a flickering lamp. He will bring lasting justice to all. 4 He will not lose hope or courage; he will establish justice on the earth. Distant lands eagerly wait for his teaching."
So is Jesus aggro? Is he forceful? Is He fair? Is He a polititian? NO!! Does He ever give up? No, never.
Was Jesus worried about food or clothes or money or possessions? No. Did He always have enough? Yes.
We should be mirrors of God, so people of the world can see God in us; His character and kindness, etc.
2Co 3:18 All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory.
We need to become like Jesus, obedient to God, because this is where we find joy, satisfaction and acceptance.
WE NEED TO REALLY KNOW THE CHARACTER OF GOD, which does not change, so we know how to live.
Whenever we are faced with any tough decision, we need to ask ourselves “What would Jesus do if He was in this situation?” and then try our best to do that, regardless of the consequences.

Lesson: A Lost World. What can WE do?
How much of the world's people is Christian ? About 2.5 billion ( a rough guess)
How many of these Christians are for real? Probably about a billion
Why is the world “LOST?” Because they don't know Jesus. We (Christians) are not of this world.
Joh 17:16 Just as I do not belong to the world, they do not belong to the world.
What must we do? Start trying to save your friends and family
Why doesn't God just come down and get people saved? He did....
Why doesn't God do miracles and signs in the sky to save people? Because they would explain it away – it's a weather phenomenon, it's tides, or winds, etc
Luk 16:27 The rich man said, 'Then I beg you, father Abraham, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 where I have five brothers. Let him go and warn them so that they, at least, will not come to this place of pain.' 29 Abraham said, 'Your brothers have Moses and the prophets to warn them; your brothers should listen to what they say.' 30 The rich man answered, 'That is not enough, father Abraham! Why are the people of the world so deceived and anti God's truth?

Eph 5:11 Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light.
What happens if you have a swimming pool full of perfume and you drop a dead rat in the pool. Will you use that perfume? Sin in your life is like that. It seems like a small thing, a little sin, but it pollutes your life. Keep your life pure: Keep FAR AWAY from anything occultic.
2Pe 3:14 And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God's sight and to be at peace with him. AMEN!!
The BOTTOM LINE
God wants our help to save the people He loves.
We can be a light for them to follow
By Staying Pure and Having nothing to do with the things of darkness.
